TRM 10000 COBRA

The model is a tribute to European military engineering, and to equipment currently deployed in theaters of operation such as Lebanon and Ukraine. As the TRM 10000 prepares to be replaced by the PPLOG as part of a modernization program, this model immortalizes a configuration that is emblematic of contemporary military history.

The TRM 10000 COBRA in 1/87 scale, a faithful and detailed reproduction of an emblematic military vehicle. Based on high-quality technical photos, this miniature accurately reproduces every element of the COBRA radar system, from the erectile antenna to the armored cab.

This trajectory radar, linked to the ATLAS system, can locate enemy batteries up to 100 km away in real time.

This type of radar can detect both the point of departure of shots and their arrival, for up to 40 batteries simultaneously.

To prevent the radars from being detected, they are combined with another system called SL2A (Système de localisation d'artillerie par acoustique)

The radar, housed in a technical shelter mounted on a fully autonomous Renault Trucks TRM 10000 truck, comprises :

- A detection system comprising a plane erectile antenna with active module

- An operating cab

- A generator supplying the system with power

- A gyrolaser inertial navigator

The technical shelter is protected against battlefield shrapnel.

COBRA ( COunter Battery RAdar ) is a counter-battery radar system developed jointly by Thales, Airbus Defence and Space and Lockheed Martin for the French, British and German armed forces.

In its non-NATO export version, it has been significantly improved in terms of performance and design, while retaining its basic features. It is marketed by Euro-Art International EWIV, a joint venture between HENSOLDT and THALES.

In view of the ageing of the TRM 10000, the PPLOG should become the new carrier for the COBRA radar, which is due to complete its renovation program this year.

This radar is deployed in Lebanon, and one has been sent to Ukraine.
