The 3D model of the Renault GBC 180

Following on from the design stage, here is the 3D development stage of our model of the Renault GBC 180 truck.

Reproducing a vehicle such as the GBC 180, for which no manufacturer files are available, is always a challenge. Each model maker may have a different vision, with their own interpretation. That's why, at Promodels, the design of a 3D file is based on rigorous collaborative work. Every detail is discussed collectively in order to correct any inaccuracies and ensure a faithful and consistent reproduction. The result: a model that is as accurate as it is authentic, the fruit of a shared passion for precision and craftsmanship.

The key to successfully producing a high-quality model in series is, above all, the design. If you want a unique piece, the rigor of the design can take a back seat. But when it comes to producing multiple copies without complications or excessive costs for each assembly, careful design becomes essential. At Promodels, each model is designed with this requirement in mind: anticipating constraints, optimizing assemblies, and ensuring smooth assembly. The result is a faithful reproduction of the GBC 180, designed to last, easy to assemble, and to satisfy the best offers for our customers.

Naturally, the covered parts or ECRs will be reworked by hand to give them a realistic appearance, because although 3D is a good tool, the human touch is still faster and better for creating “lifelike” shapes and achieving a natural finish.

Thanks to our expertise and rigorous working methods, we are able to design any model from simple 2D plans and high-definition photos. This approach allows us to faithfully reproduce every detail, guaranteeing the quality and precision that our creations are renowned for.
